There was a time when Bajaj’s Chetak was India’s best-selling scooter. It was discontinued in 2006. After a long time of nearly 13 years, Bajaj has Finally launched Chetak as an electric vehicle in India. This scooter has a lithium-ion battery that will give 80 to 100 kilometers of mileage on a single charge. Currently, this scooter has been launched in 6 colors options, which is Black, White, Silver, Blue, Red, and Gold
Bajaj Chetak comes with a premium finish. This scooter is made of metal and fiber. Apart from that, the chrome finish has also been given in this scooter.
Chetak has a DRL headlamp and LED indicators. Also, it has a fully digital instrument cluster. The instrument cluster can be connected to the phone through an app.
It comes with a 12-inch alloy wheel with MRF tires. The front-wheel has an option of a disc brake.
The scooter has two drive modes, sports mode, and economy mode. You will get a top speed up to 75 Kmph in sports mode and 100 Kmph in economy mode. Apart from that, there is an option to reverse the scooter.
There is no current information about its price. But according to an estimate, it can cost around 1.5 to 1.15 lakhs. Its retail sales will start in urban areas from January 2020.
